Personalized rehabilitation
In-Home Physiotherapy for Veterans
Care is delivered one-on-one in your own home. The assessment and treatment plan are based on your health history, current abilities, goals and what is safe to work on during each visit.
Care may include
- Mobility and walking rehabilitation
- Strength and balance training
- Fall-prevention strategies
- Post-hospital and post-surgical rehabilitation
- Neurological rehabilitation
- Pain and functional mobility management
- Transfer, stairs and home-safety training
- Caregiver and family education when appropriate
Recommendations and treatment are individualized. Response to physiotherapy varies, and no particular outcome can be guaranteed.

Using Your Veterans Affairs Canada Benefits
Physiotherapy is included within Veterans Affairs Canada’s Program of Choice 12 – Related Health Services. Coverage, authorization and reimbursement requirements depend on each client’s individual VAC benefits.
